PETE AND NORMA

This week I have been thinking alot about Pete with his birthday and his death. I miss his loving nature, funny sayings, his sense of humor and advice. He was very compassionate. He loved us all very much. I miss the Friday nights we had with him, Pete & I would bring dinner in and he would surprise us with a dessert, most of the time it would be a pie he and I really liked pie. One Friday he said I've got the ultiment sacrifice, I bought a $17.00 strawberry pie from Sandy's. After we ate the whole pie we decided it was worth it. Then we would watch an old movie. I still have his e-mail in my address book I can't bring my self to delete it. We miss all the time we spent with him and Norma. we miss hearing Norma saying "oh Pete" then her cute giggle. They were the most incredible in-laws ever. They accepted me in the family 38 years ago & loved me as if I were their own. I'll never forget the 1 on 1 time I spent driving Norma where she needed to go, when I had Ranae, everyone would ask if she was hers. She was the youngest looking grandma I've ever known. We miss them so much but we know they are so happy to be together again. Pete was waiting his time to be with her. The other day we got a card in the mail from the vet saying buddy's shots are due, that was hard. One funny note is we had his mail forwarded to our house so we could settle his estate not only did we get his bills we got his junk mail and we are still getting it. We are honored to be a McFarlne with parents like them.

I love these pics. I can't even begin to express how much I miss both of them. Some days I just can't believe they're gone. I know they are so happy and busy, and together, so that is the comforting thing.

I loved hearing what you had to say, and I know what you mean about not wanting to delete his email and all that. I feel the same.
